Router is a sitcom that explores the digitally obsessed lives of its six protagonists and the funny situations they get into. The program aims to highlight how many teens today have easier access to technology than any other generation, nad urges viewers, through a series of comical storylines, to consider the negative impacts digital obsession can have on our lives. The six teenagers live in the same block of flats and share a wireless router. A digital war ensues between them when Facebook announces a competition and a big cash prize to the owner of the account with the most ‘likes’. Their competitiveness turns to slander as each one tries to tarnish the others’ profiles. The rivalry between the characters exposes some truths about their true characters. Once they realise how far their digital obsessions have gone, they must choose between their cyber avatars and real lives.
